Making Cement causes bigger CO2 emissions than flying , biggest production in China

Cement causes around 5 % of all CO2 emissions.

To make cement, you need to burn limestone in 1 400–1 600 degrees, which requires lots of energy and the process, when limestone turns to basematerial for cement, releases 500 kg of CO2 per ton of basematerial for cement.

China is producing around 60% of all the cement produced in a year due to constantly growing infrastructure in China. What are the changes that China will stop using cement and start using substituting materials like wood in constructions?
